The experience of losing my mother to the tragedy of domestic violence has driven my determination to study criminology and sociology to advocate for others. Now that I am graduating at the age of 54, I would like to express gratitude to those who supported my pursuit as a nontraditional student, my family and friends, my professors, and the On-Demand department for their guidance so that I could balance my work life and school life like the scales of justice.
